Privacy policy

Dear Patient

Below you can read the privacy policy of the clinic for treatment of patients.

When you are a patient at the clinic, it is necessary for us to register and use certain information about you.

We are obliged to do so in accordance with the Danish Authorisation Act, the Danish Executive Order on Medical Record-Keeping and the Danish Health Act.

We are obliged to store the data we register and process about you in a safe manner and we must observe secrecy. Disclosure of information about your health can when necessary be exchanged internally at the clinic whereas disclosure of health details to persons etc. outside the clinic basically requires your consent; see Part 9 of the Danish Health Act.

We register and use certain data about you for payment purposes where this is necessary in order for you to pay for the treatment you have received at the clinic, e.g. via your region, municipal authority or an insurance company.

The clinic is under a duty to keep your records for 10 years after the last time you were in touch with the clinic. If you choose to find another dentist, we transfer your records to your new dentist who thereafter takes over the duty to keep your records. In special cases, which are described in the Danish Executive Order on Medical Record-Keeping, we can keep your records for a longer period than described above.

Data about you that the clinic keeps for use for payment purposes are kept as long as relevant and required in consideration of the clinic’s settlement and bookkeeping. Data about you for payment purposes is recorded on the basis of article 6 (1) (b) and (f) (until 25 May 2018 the data is registered on the basis of section 6 (1) (ii) and (vii) of the Danish Data Protection Act).

You have a right of access to the data that the clinic registers and processes about you. If you believe that we have registered wrong data about you, you can ask us to correct the data.

We are not permitted to delete data in your records but if you believe that there is an error in the records you can ask us to make an addition with your comments.

Should you wish to complain about the clinic’s processing of your personal data, you can file a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency on which you can find details at
